I saw a good deal on Virgin America Airlines for $153 round trip from Dallas Love Field to San Francisco, California. I decided to grab it as I had never visited San Francisco previously.
The flight up was a bit rough as I had a severe sinus infection. Protip: Do not try flying with a sinus infection. The weather was pleasant in November, with 60 degree temps during the day.
We visited Alcatraz Island as well as a trip across the Golden Gate bridge to Saulsalito and Muir Woods. The trip back was on the San Francisco-Saulsalito Ferry.
