A January week day visit to the Petrified Forest National Park/Painted Desert as well as a visit to the Grand Canyon South Rim. The first stop of the day was at the Petrified Forest. We arrived shortly after open at 8am.
Tire Problems
After arriving at the Painted Desert, I was greeted with a pregnant tire from a pothole we encountered on I-40 in New Mexico. We took it easy and managed to get to Flagstaff where I had the tires fixed.
South Rim – Grand Canyon National Park
After fixing the tire, we had time to go visit the Grand Canyon South Rim for a few hours before sunset. The pictures do not do it justice and you cannot understand until you see it in person. After the Grand Canyon we headed towards California and Los Angeles area.
