Chase Recap:

I didn’t have very high expectations, but this was a possibility to get close to a birthday tornado. The possibility of supercells in Northern Oklahoma was enough to get me out of the house.

Leaving OKC to Chase

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to cut out of work early enough to get to the storms when they formed in Kansas. I missed the tornado warnings and the funnel cloud reported east of Pratt. We had to settle for the squall line and shelf cloud as it entered Oklahoma north of Alva. The storms were moving slow, so we were able to stay ahead of them through Alfalfa and Grant counties.

Heading to Buffalo Wild Wings

As nightfall came upon us, we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings in Enid for dinner. The light show on the way home was pretty spectacular with constant flashing.
