After dealing with car issues, we had to resort to a rental car to chase, taking off from Norman around noon and heading up to Boise City and into Southeast Colorado.
The storms weren’t as good as expected, however, dew points were severely lacking and everything was high based and outflow dominant. There were some tornado reports, but from the video I saw it seemed they were gustnadoes, or at least nothing more spectacular than what we witnessed.
The lightning was especially good near Ulyssess, where I captured a lightning bolt and Jari in the same frame. We also ran into Shawn and Hannah again along with Willoughby, who was pretty cool to meet in person.
We ended up shooting storm structure pictures and lightning until sunset when we went to Applebees in Liberal for the evening.
