Woke up in Dodge City kind of early as I knew I’d need to get north. Likely I’d need to be in Northern Nebraska or South Dakota.
Departure
After cleaning the mud off my vehicle, I was northbound out of Dodge City by 930 am. Cap was going to be strong, but going to Northern Nebraska was worth it as the Sunday target would be in Central Nebraska.
Cap Bust
Unfortunately we sat in North Central Nebraska and waited around as the cap held. Some elevated storms fired above the cap with high bases. I ended up crossing into South Dakota for a few miles before turning around and heading back south. I stayed the night in Kearney.
