I headed to Calgary after a week in San Francisco for the Red Hat Summit for work. On the agenda was multiple days visiting Banff National Park and Jasper National Park in Alberta and Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Westjet had a direct flight from SFO which was quite comfortable, and got me into YYC around 5:30 pm.
It was July 1st, which was my first Canada day. I landed around 5:30 and then met Beth and Chris for dinner in Airdrie. By about 7:30 or 8, we were heading out to chase a storm which had popped not far from Calgary near the town of Olds.
